How do you make a universe?

Yeah, I am not sure I know that. Essentially, my big massive overachieving brain has told me that I need to make take two separate series which are in the same “world”, hook them together, and BAM! I have a universe.

Today, I have counted out the books from this universe and have come up with a minimum of 18. All stemming from one 200K word monster of a book. Crazy as it sounds. It’s possible.

The main book that started this world is TeenDom, a book that started with an eighteen-year-old submissive male who started in the BDSM world as a minor (which you don’t see) and he falls for a young actress, who is bullied into attending a BDSM sex party. I worked with author, Jae T Ryter to use the concept for a Sapphic version of this. This follows a young adult, who essentially is bullied into a BDSM party and meets a cute submissive girl who wants a Domme. girl/Mistress is Nikki’s journey into learning how to be a Mistress to Megan and failing miserably.

girl/Mistress is so long but can be broken down into 2 or 3 books. When I wrote girl/Mistress, it contained a 30K prologue of how Megan became a submissive. This will go into its own book, which will follow Megan’s journey into BDSM, starting where she meets Trixie and becomes a submissive, weaving through the journey with Nikki, and following through Nikki’s Happily Ever After.

Now, you go back to the original TeenDom version where Javier meets Amelia, the actress. You can have two sides to this story. Javier’s journey into the world. Amelia’s meeting of Javier sets the stage for either a book of two of these two characters or book one for her own journey, which will have her spiraling out of control in her entertainment world. This is a series that Jae T Ryter will be writing.

After all of that, you have key characters like April, who fits in Trixie and Megan’s story, along with being the best friend to Nikki, and essentially having her own outcome. Plus, we can’t forget Oliver, who I named just so I can use the title, Oliver’s Twist. He will have at least one book dedicated to his role in this world which Jae and I will co-write together.

I’d make a timeline of how the books fall in chronological order. My next decision needs to be how they are written and released. Should I focus on one character and finish their book/series? OR should I follow the chronological state, which would drive into the oldest character, Trixie, and write her story, while switching series/books based on who joins the BDSM “TeenDom” world?

If I focus on storylines and characters vs timelines, I will write Nikki’s books first. Then will go into Amelia’s story. They essentially follow the exact same timeline but have very different outcomes. SOOOOOOOOOO… What do you think?
