The month of February is celebrated as “Love Month.” Starting on the 1st, if not earlier, everything is pink, red, and covered in chocolate and red roses.
February is a month of long hours for me, but I see nothing but pink and red, chocolates, balloons, and red roses for miles. Why? Florist by day, writer at night: that’s me. Yup. This is one of those jobs that everyone thinks would be fun because you get to spend all day with flowers.
What people don’t see is the truck load of 10,000 red roses, 1000s of colored roses, and boxes upon boxes of other flowers that arrives a week before and the staff that is putting in 12 hour days for ten days straight. All of this, just for your loved one can romance you.
And in the midst of all of this hubbub, I am still churning out as many words as I can on a little road trip romance book that I am currently writing and that I hope to publish by the end of this year.
Swipe Right For Love
I’ve talked about this book a few times, but I’m pleased to say that the editor is working on polishing up this romantic comedy novel right now. Its release date is currently estimated to be early April. I can’t wait for everyone to read this charming tale of a middle-aged florist who, following the end of her 20-year marriage, enters the dating scene. In a time of instant gratification and one-night stands, she turns to a dating app in search of her next love.
There will be a paperback version of the book in addition to the eBook and Kindle Unlimited versions. For the time being, though, I do have a few other books you can buy or borrow from KU on Amazon.
